Seven Seconds of Eternity

Hedwig Kiesler: The world knows her as Hedy Lamarr, “The Most Beautiful Woman in the World.” She made cinematic history with the film “Ecstasy.” A particular film sequence plays over and over again. A woman runs naked through a forest from left to right. With this scene, which lasts exactly seven seconds, Hedy Lamarr became famous. And to this, she was forever reduced.

Cornelia Rainer directs Amira Casar as Hedwig Kiesler in the series “Le piste d’envol”/ Mise en Lecture at the Théâtre du Rond Point Paris. It is an inner exploration of one of the most contradictory women on the silver screen, transcending the boundaries of birth and death of the self-destructive beauty.
